2026 News Summary

The Faith In Our Future Trust has distributed over $64 million to support Catholic Education and Faith Formation, reaching all corners of the Milwaukee Archdiocese.

As part of the Campaign, each parish identified needs and initiatives for the parish. 60% of each parish’s contributions were distributed to the parish for those individual purposes – over $46 million in total.

Using the balance of the Campaign donations, the Trust paid all of the campaign expenses, approved numerous grants, and established an Endowment Fund to make grants in perpetuity. To date, over 1000 grants, valued at over $18 million, have been made by the Trust in support of the six Initiatives identified in the Campaign case statement.

The Endowment Fund provides grants for religious education, formation of priests and lay leaders, and scholarships to Catholic Schools.

All Catholic schools within the Archdiocese have received grants for scholarships to specific students, supporting their desire to receive a Catholic education. Over $5 million in scholarship grants have been awarded.

St. Francis de Sales Seminary has received multiple grants to support Priestly Formation at the Seminary, funding new and expanded programs and adapting and renovating the Seminary campus as the number of seminarians has continued to increase.

Significant grants to Seton Catholic Schools and Siena Catholic Schools facilitated the launch of those innovative systems.

Expansion of Campus Ministry at UW-Milwaukee, UW-Whitewater, and in Waukesha was funded by Faith In Our Future grants.

Faith In Our Future provided the funding which made it possible to hold the Archdiocesan Synod, and followed up with another grant to implement the Synod Initiatives.

Parish staff members have participated in professional conferences, including an Amazing Parish Conference, thanks to funding from Faith In Our Future grants.

Grants from the Trust funded Projects at the Archdiocese’s LaSagrada Familia Parish.

Parishes have been provided with resources for Religious Education programming for children with developmental challenges through a grant from the Trust.

Several Catholic High Schools built or renovated chapel spaces with grant funds received from Faith In Our Future.

Multiple grants have provided funding to train educators and provide online resources for Parish Religious Education catechists.

Many more grants have been made, and the Faith In Our Future Trust continues to support Catholic Education and Faith Formation in fulfillment of its mission.
