New Lay Ministers Training Program Receives Grant
February 3, 2020 – The Faith In Our Future Trustees approved a grant of $9,700 from the Leaders of the Future Endowment Fund to the St. John Paul II Center of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee to bring the Catherine of Siena Institute’s Called and Gifted Faith Formation program to the Archdiocese. The Faith In Our Future grant will fund an initial program to train 40 new local lay ministry leaders. These 40 leaders will go on to facilitate discernment formation in over 500 lay leaders. The program helps people discern their spiritual gifts. The participants go on to consider where God is inviting them to offer those gifts in service to others. The program will be offered in English and Spanish.
The Faith In Our Future Trust, a 501(c)(3) Charitable Trust created in 2007, is thankful for gifts from parishioners throughout the Archdiocese of Milwaukee. The Trust has distributed over $58 million to date, with all grants restricted to providing support for Catholic Education and Faith Formation.
