January 28, 2020 – The Faith In Our Future Trustees approved a grant of $15,000 from the Community Faith Building Endowment Fund to the Office of Black Catholic and Ethnic Ministries in the Archdiocese of Milwaukee. The grant will fund the recruitment and training of 12-15 leaders who will launch a pilot Rite of Passage program in two selected Catholic schools. The Rite of Passage program has been developed for youth in middle and high school, preparing youth to transition to adulthood while assuming personal and community responsibilities in a life of dignity and integrity. The Archdiocesan Black Catholic Pastoral Plan specifically identified this program as an action item. It represents one of the ways to engage in evangelization of youth in Catholic schools. The pilot project will serve as an entry point to test the program before expanding it to additional Catholic schools.

The Faith In Our Future Trust, a 501(c)(3) Charitable Trust created in 2007, is thankful for gifts from parishioners throughout the Archdiocese of Milwaukee. The Trust has distributed over $58 million to date, with all grants restricted to providing support for Catholic Education and Faith Formation.
